Background
AFRICAN WOMEN DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION is a non-political and non-profit organization that was conceptualized in 2017 in response to the immense humanitarian crisis in South Sudan following the civil war which plugged the country.
Women, Girls and Children have continued to be marginalized in basic service provision, human rights, access to justice as well as being victims of man-made and natural calamities, and climate change.
On 18th day of July 2023, African Women Development Organization was registered as National Organization under chapter 3, Section 10 of NGOs Act, 2016 with Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) in Juba for the purpose of responding to current and future needs of vulnerable communities at the grassroots.
